This is the very first time try to make my own CPU so I'll be very grateful to anyone willing to help, so here we go.

Approximate Purchase Date: 6/12/2011 is when I planned this setup.

Budget Range: $1500 After Rebates (includes keyboard, display and sound)

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, then everyday stuff.

Parts Not Required: Mouse

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.com

Country of Origin: U.S

Parts Preferences: I;m completely new to this so I don't know which is good

Overclocking: no, I'm worried about the risks and blowing my money

SLI or Crossfire: Yes, with NVIDIA

Monitor Resolution:1920x1200

Operating System: Windows 7 ult, 64-bit

Additional Comments: Looking for a CPU that will last a long time for a long time. Currently the biggest problem I have is knowing whether or not the components are all compatible. I have made a list of components I would like but their not written in stone. Any help and suggestions will be greatly welcomed. Also I'm completely new to this so please keep the jargon down.

My list:

Motherboard:
1) ASUS P8P67 PRO (REV 3.0) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131703

One of the most confusing components to figure out, this might be the most help I need.

Graphic Card:
1) 2x MSI N560GTX-TI Twin Frozr II/OC GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127565

Memory:
1) CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145345
2) CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233144

I can't tell the difference between them, though if you have suggestions that better than either than by all means.

Hard Drive:
1) Seagate Momentus ST9750420AS 750GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148599

Honestly I kinda chose this by random, again I don't know which hard drive is best for a gaming rig.

Processor:
1) Intel Core i7-2600 Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I72600
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115071

I choose this because it was 'recommended' when buying the motherboard that I chose above, so....

Powersupply:
1) CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139005
2) CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V v2.2 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139006

I heard its better to go more than end up less with power, unfortunately I don't know how much power this rig is gonna need.

Optical Drive:

I'm not looking for anything fancy, these days you can get best games through the internet (steam).

Computer Cases:
1) Antec Lanboy Air

I honestly don't know, please give suggestions.

Optional

Heatsinks:
1) COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 "Heatpipe Direct Contact" Long Life Sleeve 120mm CPU Cooler Compatible Intel Core i5 & Intel Core i7
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103065

I heard getting heat sinks can mean the diff between light and day as well as help extend your cpu's life.

Also, stupid question: How do I get wireless internet on this? Is it already built in?

Thank you so much for the suggestions, and yes I am really new to this. I decided to take your suggestion and go for the i5 processor. I would just like to double check that all the components are compatible. This is the update rig per your suggestion:

MOBO & Processor:
ASUS P8Z68-V LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Intel Core i5-2500 Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I52500
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.657881

RAM:
CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233144

PSU + HDD:
Corsair 750TX + Samsung F3 1TB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.668399&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-RSSDailyDeals-_-na-_-na&AID=10521304&PID=4176827&SID=1njd7cc7lqix3

Case:
LIAN LI Lancool PC-K63 Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112320&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-RSSDailyDeals-_-na-_-na&AID=10521304&PID=3463938&SID=

The case should be able to fit all the components but could someone also double check in case I missed something.
And what is the main difference between a wireless adapter and a USB wireless device?
