First time build - Need help reviewing parts list

Hello! I'm beginning to get into computer gaming, and I would appreciate help with reviewing my parts list to check for incompatibilities. I think everything should be compatible with one another, but I would like a second opinion before I proceed with buying parts. I'm particularly worried about the case, motherboard, and power supply all being compatible with one another. Any help is greatly appreciated.

First thing most people around here will tell you is that the Samsung spinpoint f3 is just as fast as the WD black but cheaper. Something else is that by the look of that psu, you're not planning to SLI it in future but your board is good for it so why not get 2 x GTX 560ti instead, would be cheaper and a lot better.

Just did a bit of research on SLI GTX 560 TI vs. a single GTX 580. Judging by the split reviews, I'm guessing that both are nearly the same. And if they're both nearly the same, I'd rather not deal with the hassle of installing two video cards (I'm still quite new at this). But would my PSU work with a single GTX 580?

i agree....if you can afford the 580 stick to that.....

yes 750w is plenty.....

i like wd blacks.......id actually pair it with a small ssd and use the irst!!!

you did get one thing wrong tho......2x560ti>1x580

You have a $180 board up there that can run dual vid cards, yet that 750w psu isn't going to cut it for dual 580's and it's over kill for a single 580. 620w - 650w for a single card, and 950+w for dual 580's so you have some headroom.

I don't know your budget nor your intentions...gaming build I'm guessing...but is this for a single card set up or future dual card set up? Also spend another $2 and get a DVD writer, not just a reader only, like you have up there.

You can cut some money off the case and take a look at the comparable Corsair 400R on amazon for $100 + free shipping and you can combo some things also to save money...cpu + gpu, psu + ram, etc...

As for single/dual cards, I had planned on updating to dual GTX 580's sometime in the future, probably 8 months to a year from now. My plan was to upgrade the power supply when I purchased the second card. And yes, my intentions were for this computer to be for gaming.

no the card will only take as much as it needs.........

and yes the card only needs 620......but.....

figure in overclocking,,,2-3 hdd,,,4 fans,,,some pretty lights,,, and 6 things plugged in via usb and you'll be damn glad you went with the 750!!!

also... based on your choice of case may i suggest this one instead for 60 le$$

I would either drop down to a 650w psu which will leave you plenty of juice for o/c, drives, etc... but you can fit that psu in now to push two of those cards with some creative thinking.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions with this. Now, one final question. Would the original build I first posted work should I purchase all the parts and attempt to put it together?
