First time build of gaming pc

Ok so my build is as follows and I was wondering if it would bottleneck, I am trying to go for something I can play older games at max or ultra settings while stil giving myself room to upgrade in the future if I so choose to.

Mobo: ASUS EX-B250-V7 Expedition LGA1151 DDR4 HDMI B250 ATX Motherboard

Processor: Intel BX80677I57400 7th Gen

Ram: G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) Ripjaws V Series DDR4

GPU: EVGA GTX 1060 6Gb

PSU: Seasonic S12II 620W BRONZE

HDD: WD Blue 1tb SATA

Case: Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-02 Mid Tower

I also planned to add a Coolermaster Hyper 212 and 3 120mm case fans from coolermaster.

I really don't want this getting too hot, probably went overboard with the cooling and someone said I should choose a different PSU. All I really need to know is what would the limitations of this build be and will it bottleneck?

Looks like a solid gaming build. Just be aware that you will not be able to put any cpu faster than an i7 7700K into that system nor overclock it since its a B250 chipset. As for the PSU, seasonic makes fantastic units and that one you selected will provide plenty of power

I haven't built a pc since I help my uncle back in 1997 (Voodoo3 16MB will never die). Do you know what I could reliably play with around or above 60 fps and high graphic setting?

You can play pretty much anything reliably at high to maximum settings at 1920x1080 with that system. I currently have the 3gb GTX 1060 @ 1920x1080 and can max out War Thunder and get anywhere from 90-200 fps (ground battles vs air battles) I had to tick a few settings down on Call of Duty World War II because there were a few noticeable slowdowns, but even then most settings are at high

Also what would you recommend for the motherboard because I do plan to upgrade when needed.

If you want future upgrade ability, you are looking at either a z370 motherboard for Intel or an x370 (soon to release the x470 series) from AMD. Both of those platforms would require a different cpu. With that being said, I would change out the processor for an Intel Core i3 8100. it has 4 physical cores, the same amount of L3 cache (6mb) and has a higher core frequency (3.6ghz vs 3.5ghz turbo) and is cheaper. The savings could then be applied to getting an Asus Prime Z370-A. Asus boards are my personal preference, but im sure others can comment on their experiences and offer their recommendations as well. This setup would allow you to upgrade later on down the road to a 6 core i5 or a 6 core with hyperthreading i7. The other parts you listed wouldn't need to be changed either
