First time build under $1000 - Need advice

I would really appreciate some input on this build. I'll list the reasons why I've done some things and things I'm tossing between also.
This computer I'm not going to be using for any major 3D gaming or anything along those lines although as a graphic designer I'm going to be processing and using large amounts of information. I understand skys the limit but in layman terms what do you think?( this will be my first build)

Firstly the CPU I've chosen AMD not Intel both because of the price and also because of the 6 core in the AMD which will help me process information quicker

Memory I was tossing up between using the Corair Vengeance DDR3-1600 ($102) and the Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory ($125) is it worth getting the higher DDR3 because although its higher Ive been told the computer
can't process at that speed.

Storage I've chosen to install my windows and programs onto the solid state hardrive (intel was the cheapest 120gb) and use space on the 1TB seagate for files etc

Power Supply I've chosen to buy the more expensive power supply because although I understand its probably not needed if I get a cheaper one it may not last as long and/or blow up

Operating system Windows 7 feels so much better then windows 8 and although you can change windows 8 to look the same I can't be bothered

I would suggest switching out that fx 6300 for a 8350 or 8320 amd same socket 8 cores instead of six and also then You take and make up the price difference by going to a better deal on a psu try this one

that takes care of better processor and a more realistic psu for about the same price unless I miss my mark

Stick with the 1600 DRAM of these two choices, doubt if the 6300 can carry 2133, could try 1866/9 sticks, good choices on PSU, Storage and OS, should be a rig you'll be happy wit, and to the above I'd recommend against getting a refurb PSU, your SeaSonic choice is a good one
