Hey guys,
I'm looking to build my first system and my budget is around £1400.
I am hoping to build a future proof gaming system which if needed in the future i can upgrade from 1 to 2 graphics cards (SLI). Where possible i would also like to keep noise to a minimum and i will also be over-clocking. Any feed back/changes would be much appreciated especially on the motherboard as i am really unsure what to pick.

Solution
If you're using the large SSD to just store files you might as well go with a smaller SSD for the OS, applications, and games. You can then get a regular HDD for storing files.
I would make some slight tweaks:

Changed the mobo to an Asus Z97 A and the PSU. If you plan to SLI 780s then 850w is much better. The EVGA G2 850w PSU is on par with the Corsair AX series quality for 20 GBP less too so that helps.

Also 500 GB for the SSD seems like a lot to me (alot of money too) but you could probably get away with 250gb if you were looking to save some money.

I've downgraded the memory to (2x4gb) G.Skill Ares Series 8GB as for gaming im thinking 16GB is overkill?

I also changed to ASRock Z97 EXTREME6 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard and EVGA SuperNOVA 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply, do you think i will struggle with this ....i could potentially go up to 850w if thats the case.

On the ssd.....I doo tend to be a hoarder so i would like the flexibility of a slightly bigger SSD.....so on that i dont really want tor educe although i do agree that it is a lot of £££££££!

Ok yeah that makes a lot of sense, Thanks. I may downgrade to 250Gb, and maybe wait a while then invest in another HDD later or wait till SSDs increase in capacity/come down in price.

One other question is can someone recommend some additional case fans that run quietly,
i was recommended Rosewill ROCF-11003 Hyperboreas but i cant get them in the UK so i need another solution.
And also a fan controller to fit in one of the bays at the front.
