Either way you go (intel or AMD) it's going to be pretty fast. If I were you I would save some money and get the FX 8320 if you want to stick with AMD. All the FX processors have unlocked multipliers, so you can get it running at the same speed as the 8350 easily. There's really no reason to buy the 8350 over the 8320 except bragging rights (and possibly better binning). Also, I would go with the hyper 212 evo over the TX3

Yeah, go with the AMD if that's your preference. The i5-3570k does get better benchmarks but most graphics-intensive games rely more on the graphics card than the processor and the AMD will do fine. If you're going to be doing a lot of multitasking or anything processor-intensive, I'd take the Intel.

Far cry 3, Assasins creed 3, gta 5, online games, etc etc say hi

CPU matters a lot more than you think.


Especially when you want a smooth stutter free gaming experience, same money, get the better value/more for your buck.

Several questions: 1. What's better about Mushkin RAM vs. the Corsair RAM? 2. I plan on using the SSD for a boot drive and maybe having one game on it only. 3. Performance wise, what's the difference between the FX-8350 and the I5-3570k? I need an un-biased answer, so intel fanboys please leave, and amd fanboys please leave. Imagine that the motherboard I have chosen is compatible with the intel socket, what would be the difference of fps when playing skyrim, max settings, with mods?

Then stay with AMD. Nothing wrong with that. Your system is solid, the AMD will be slower than the system max put together,. I doubt you would notice the difference outside of benchmarks.

The only thing that you would notice is that dent in your wallet. That Microcenter price is in-store pickup only. Expect to pay around $219 for that i5. If that's not a problem, then go with the i5.

The i5 setup was cheaper, and had a bigger ssd than the amd setup he wanted, and is better in every way...

No disagreement, just warning the OP that he will not get that price for the i5. Probably more around $219, like I said. If the OP has the money, by all means, get the i5, like I said again.
