Hello, I am building a computer for the first time and I would like to know that all these parts are compatible, so I don't waste any money on parts that are not. Also, could you tell me if I don't have any crucial part to the computer that I am missing (I have a CD: ROM in my old computer that I am using to install Windows). Here is the build:

Graphics Card:

Thank you for all your help!
PS: If I get the graphics card a month or two before I actually assemble the computer (they have a good deal on it) it won't like "break" or something from just not being used right?

Solution
If you wanted a larger PSU 850W is overkill. 750W would work fine for 760 sli.

What I would do is get a locked i5 and a cheap motherboard with 8gb of ram. This would come out to be cheaper than the FX 6300+990FX motherboard+ 16GB of ram. 8GB of ram is more than enough for most games now, and it should last quite a while. If you plan to upgade to 16GB of ram later on you could get 1x8GB ram module. Even if you plan to upgrade in the future, a mid tower would be perfect. It would be able to fit in multiple graphics cards and even a custom water loop if you wanted. There's no point spending an extra $50 on a huge full sized tower.

The Seagate barracuda is a cheaper alternative to the 1TB WD Black you have.

Also with windows 8.1 you can...
Your motherboard and CPU aren't compatible. FX processors use the AM3+ socket, while APUs and newer Phenoms (I think) use the FM2+ socket. That said, I wouldn't get an FX-4300 in the first place. If you're set on AMD, get the FX-6300 for five bucks more and get an AM3+ motherboard. Otherwise, I would suggest a Pentium G3258 and a Z97 motherboard and overclock it to hell and back.

Other thought: That is a giant case for what you're getting. I would suggest looking at ATX Mid Towers.

My thoughts:

- Get the GTX 760. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-video-card-n760tf2gd5oc Since the 900 series came out it had a nice price drop
- 850W is overkill for one card. Swap the PSU for a XFX 550w unit.
- 16GB ram is overkill. Swap it for 2x4GB DDR3 ram.
- You can save money by getting a Seagate Barracuda 1TB for the HDD
- Your processor and motherboard are not compatible. Swap the CPU for a FX 6300 and for the motherboard try to get the Gigabyte 970A-UD3P AM3+ ATX motheboard
- Get windows 8.1, slightly faster and it's supported longer
- There are cheaper cases out there such as the NZXT Phantoms, this one has the best deal at the moment:

And don't forget to make the new build using pcpartpicker.com. It will let you see all the parts in one place and you can use it to find the lowest prices on your hardware.

Thank you for your help, but I have a few questions:
-If I did get the GTX 760, would I have to change anything else in the build (also I like AMD more, but I know that isnt something that should get in the way while building/upgrading)?
-Also, I would like to keep the PSU (I may crossfire my current bad graphics card with the new one) and RAM because I am going to be continually upgrading from time to time when it needs it, and I would like have these for newer games/graphics cards that come out, or is this stupid to do?
- Thank for the information about the motherboard and CPU, but this motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128514&cm_re=Gigabyte_AM3%2b_ATX-_-13-128-514-_-Product) is compatible with the AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-Core right?
- I really am not a fan of Windows 8, but if you think it runs faster I would get that instead
- So I should have a mid-tower instead of a full-tower? Even if I'm upgrading at a later date?
- This is kind of a stupid question, but the Seagate Barracuda 1TB isn't replacing the hard drive right just upgrading it right?
Thank you and everyone that is helping out!

Also with windows 8.1 you can skip the tile intercace and boot straight to the desktop. You can also download a program called classic shell if you want to keep the style windows 7 had.
