Hi,

I have been getting lot of suggestions from you guys here, I finalized on the following:

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I already have the CPU i7-4770K that a friend gave me as a gift. It doesn't have a heat sink or a fan. Just the CPU. So don't consider that in the cost.

Does it look good? My main uses are photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 4/5. I am not a gamer and I don't plan to overclock ever.

Particularly I have questions about memory and case? Will my case fit all of these with some room left for air? Or do you suggest going with a full tower?

Also is the memory any good? Is there a way I can reduce the price of the memory at least by $30? I am also planning to not get the video card and put that money towards a better higher resolution monitor.

Is the SSD OK? Or do I go with the Samsung 840 Pro or EVO?

Any thoughts?

This config is actually turning out to be cheaper. What do you think?

consider buying Radeon R7 260X, which is of the same price range but a much better graphics performance

you can check the performance chart http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html

Since you don't intend on OCing, you should get a H87 based motherboard. There's nothing wrong with the board you posted above. It's just that you'll be paying for the overclocking features on the board, something you said you don't want to do.

Memory is fine. Since you are into content creation,16gb is great. That case is quite spacious.Don't worry about not having adequate space. I wouldn't call a full tower unneccessary but again, you don't need that much space
As for the cost, this is what i could find

You can have a better GPU for that money

But then again,if your motherboard does not have onboard graphics, your system will be unusable without a graphics card. By the way, wouldn't a graphics card help with photoshop? I don't know, that's why i ask.

A 550W PSU should suffice

I decided to forego the GC as I realistically don't need it. Also, Adobe did not test this chipset.

Thanks.

Photoshop requires a GC for certain features like liquify, oil painting, lighting effects etc. which I never use. For normal photo processing having plenty of RAM and a good scratch disk are more than enough.

Thanks for your suggestions. I will take a look at them.
