I am new to computer building and would like to know if I got my wish list of parts right. My budget is $600. I went on Amazon and picked out parts that seemed compatible with each other by reading the specs and everything. Please give me feedback and improvements that I could fix before ordering everything.

Intel Core i5-6400 $195
Gigabyte GTX 950 2GB $150
Gigabyte GA-B150M-D3H $88
Crucial Ballistix Sport 4GB DDR3-1600 $23
Western Digital 1TB Blue $52
NZXT Source 210 $45
Corsair CX430 $42

The total is about $595 before tax. I already have peripherals and a copy of Windows. I am using a 1080p 24" monitor to game on. Thanks for your feedback.

CPU is good.
GPU is good
MB is good.
You'll want more than 4gb in 2015 for ram. Go for min 8. This won't be able to run much, and if you want it to last more than a few years you especially need 8. GO for 8.
Case is fine
PSU is great
It's 2015, get an ssd. If you don't you'll end up upgrading soon. I think it makes a bigger difference to have an ssd than to have a better cpu. (Sounds strange) I wouldn't build a pc without an ssd. boots are slow, games run slower, etc.

Not a good idea to use DDR3 with skylake. It amy reduce the lifespan of the memory controller and it only officially supports ddr3l and ddr4.

The Corsair CX series is not good, they use cheap capxon secondary capacitors with a high failure rate.
Here'a a better gaming build it uses the last generation haswell but the 4460 is actually just a bit faster than the 6400.

Thanks everyone for your help. For $600, I went on Amazon again and tweaked the build toward the suggestions. Could I get feedback on this?

Intel Core i5-4460 $181
Gigabyte GTX 950 $150
MSI H81M-E33 $52
Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB DDR3-1600 $40
Samsung 750 EVO 250GB $78
1TB Western Digital Blue $52
NZXT Source 210 $45
EVGA 500 B1 80+ Bronze $46

This parts list was a little over my budget at $644, but it includes parts that were recommended by the two posters. Any feedback?

Drop the SSD they are nice but i wouldn't sacrifice gaming performance to get one. Its something you can add later and would be cheaper than a gpu upgrade. I also suggest investing in a better psu, a good psu is crucial for system stability and longevity.
