FIRST TIME BUILDER! HELP :)

hello all im a first time builder and after some research i put together this rig. I just want to know if the hardware is going to play nice before i take the step and purchase.

so you know this sys is built with the intention of preforming some heavy rendering in maya, max, zbrush ect. I couldnt exactly afford the Nvidia quadro so i went with the geforce.

here is my potential rig.

Thank you to anyone who can give me some advice. My main concerns are the with the MB, CPU, and GPU getting along.

double check that HSF and that RAM , to make sure there is enough clearance ..occasionally , certain HSF and RAM with hi-rise heatsinks wont 'fit together' ..otherwise I dont see any problems ..but others may know more than me

I'll comment on item by item:

MB: Not bad, but if you can afford it get a Z68 one such as Asus P8P67-V Pro

CPU: Solid pick, can get the i5 2500k and save up

HSF: Will not fit with your RAM, try getting a smaller one such as Zalman's. Or get low-profile RAM sticks.

GPU: Very good also

RAM: Very good

SSD and HDD: Good

PSU: Bad choice. Stick with a Corsair, Seasonic or Seventeam one. And 1000W is too much even if you want to SLI with that 560Ti. 850W is enough.

Case: Good also.

Being said that, everything will run fine.

yeah I was gonna say something about the PSU , but thats always a tricky pick ..I would suggest reading this

also I have read that XFX are just relabeled Seasonics .. soo an 850w XFX could be ok too ..SOME models of Coolermaster as good as well

There are low profile Vengeance sets, personally I think changing to one of those (if that isn't what Nick originally selected, it's hard to tell when no model number was posted) is the better option. The G.Skill Ripjaws and Ripjaws X sets are also short enough to fit under the Noctua NH-D14 - which is by far the better choice in terms of temps and noise.

Also 850W is more than enough for an OCed system with two GTX 560 Tis, such a system won't even 'overload' a 650W PSU, so money saving or increased quality could be had for the same/similar price if you wish.

As for 'cords': the motherboard will usually come with enough SATA connectors for a basic build, but high end motherboards like the MSI P67A-GD65 or Asus P8Z68-V Pro come with four. All power cables are provided by the PSU. So I think all the cords you'd need would come with the components.

usually all of your cords will already be supplied, you might review the case and see if anybody has had trouble getting a cpu power connector to reach from a psu, i ran into that problem with my asus board last time, just got an extension cord for the cpu power connector, i am very picky regarding cable management although, Lol.
