This does seem like a good idea and would save me a nice bit of cash, however would this affect fps? I want to be able to game at a decent frame rate on triple a titles.

I'm not bothered about hitting 60 fps all the time because I am very much used to playing at 25 fps on my toaster laptop but it would be nice to know what it feels like and be able to run some future games at a decent frame rate as well.

I don't plan on streaming or doing video editing I just presumed that I would get a better fps with a better processor

Thanks for the reply by the way I really appreciate the help.

That's more determined by the GPU and monitor resolution than it is by the CPU. That build looks good, but one thing - lose the thermal compound - you don't need it.I would get this on your budget.

Well depends, cause youre gonna need faster ram for ryzen atleast 3000mhz to use cpu effectivly, 1050ti is great budget gpu but i really dont know will it last 2 years or 1 cause new nvidia pcie gen 5? If i remember, i used to play on 30fps on r7 250e, i can say only that ryzen 3 is similar to i5 7400, it could run gta5 60fps on max soo, wait for other reply's.

& the talk of ryzen ram speeds drives me a little nuts to be honest.
2666mhz is fine , 3200/3600mhz is only even slightly necessary if you're running a 1070/1080 & a 100htz+ screen

On a 60htz monitor it will make no difference whatsoever.

I am going to be buying these parts over the course of a few months so Its not really about money but how many months I am willing to wait to build it but £750 is about right for my budget. Any more than that and I will have to wait an extra month so I will definitely consider the Zalman.

The TV is £90 by the way and I haven't already got it, I have a 19" monitor with a cracked screen but finding a replacement has proved really difficult so I figured I would get this one but if I can get a screen replacement I wont need it.

Its was recommended on a website as a good budget monitor,

Ok thanks for clearing that up for me, I thought that was the case but I wasn't sure.
I will look over the specs and take it into account but I think I'm going to go with MadMatts build, It just seems better for me with the price.
