I'm planning on building my first PC soon, was wondering if I could get a few suggestions on some parts. My end goal is a rig that can play newer and future games on Ultra with a minimum 60 FPS (pretty standard) as well as handle recording gameplay and audio, video editing, and general long term use. Most of my downtime will probably be spent on this thing if I can.
To start with, I don't have a set budget in mind. I'm not in a huge rush to build this rig, so I can save for a long as needed to help pay for it. Running Windows 10, and with processor I'm trying to decide between i7 4790k or i7 6700k. Would prefer the GPU (or GPUs as it may turn out) to be Nvida, so probably between the 970, 980, 980 TI, or Titan X. In the end I'll want to run 3 1080p monitors, but I'm most likely going to run any games on one monitor while I use the other 2 for multitasking. If i do go for a custom resolution to try running any games on all 3 monitors, it'll probably be just to check how how it looks out of curiosity. I do plan on investing in VR at some point, so there's that to think about as well. Also worth note is that I have no interest in overclocking anything myself, at least not on this rig.
With these details in mind, do you have any suggestions on what I should do? Any recommended GPU, or opinions to weigh in on the processor? I don't even know how I'm going to try cooling this thing, so really any feedback or suggestions are more than welcome.
