First time builder need some help

Hi. As a first time PC builder, I have having some trouble with selecting parts. I was wondering if these parts are compatible.
core: amd fx6300
Motherboard: Asrock 970 extreme 4
memory: Corsair vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B
PSU: EVGA 500w 80 plus
gpu: sapphire radeon r9 380
hdd: Seagate Barracuda 1TB ST1000DM003
case: deepcool tesseract SW
and Windows 10 home

all of that will work together, but i cannot recommend getting an FX system right now. If you're willing to wait until October and see how Zen pans out, or you can go for an Intel CPU. Even the i3-6100 outperforms all the FX processors, even the 8-cores.

Oh thanks for the reply! I'm getting the core for free so I'm gonna stick with it. It should still perform decently right? Just aiming for Overwatch and lighter titles atm.

I am using the fx-6300 .. its running games like witcher just fine

yeah, if you have the Chip already, go ahead and stick with it. I'd consider a 380X (not that much more than teh 380, especially since the RX 480 is out)
