:hello: Hi,
My name is Max

I am a first-time builder and I need some help.

These are the parts I want to get for my build:

CPU: AMD Athlon II X3 450 Rana 3.2GHz Socket AM3 95W Triple-Core Desktop Processor ADX450WFGMBOX

RAM: Kingston HyperX Blu 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model KHX1600C9AD3B1K2/4G

Power Supply: COOLER MASTER Elite 460 RS-460-PSAR-J3 460W ATX12V V2.31 Power Supply

Graphics Card: SAPPHIRE 100287L Radeon HD 5670 (Redwood) 512MB 128-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Motherboard: ASRock M3A770DE AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard

HardDrive: Western Digital Caviar Blue WD5000AAKS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

Case: HEC Blitz Black Steel Edition ATX Mid Tower Computer Chassis Gaming Case w/ Front Blue LED 120mm Fan & Top 120mm Fan

CD/DVD Burner: LG DVD±RW SuperMulti Drive 22X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM Black SATA Model GH22NS50 Bulk - OEM

(All above available at newegg.com)

So, basically I want to know if all these parts will work together (i.e. compatibility). I also want to know if there are any problems with the parts i selected (compatibility, not enough power for power supply, overclocking, etc.).

If there are any flaws can someone please point them out to me and help me by maybe suggesting an alternate part(s)?

Help is appreciated :)

A X3 455 + HD5770 still offers more gaming power for the money though.

should cost $50 less now. the x3 range is a decent starting point for a budget gaming rig.
