Build Advice First time building a PC and I need a second opinion ?

I know the basics of PC building, but this will be my first time building a PC at all.
Before I even get any components I want to be sure they all fit together, those being:

Kingston Fury Beast DDR5 RAM (2x 8GB)
Asus Prime B760M A wifi motherboard
intel core i7 14700KF processor
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 GPU
Fortron Hydro K pro 500w power supply

1) Does the computer tower I get matter in any way other than fitting the mATX motherboard?
2) Is the power supply good and will it be enough?
3) Am I missing anything for the build, minus the fans and the tower?

Solution
If budget allows, I would step up to at least a 750w, if not an 850w PSU, for better upgrade potential. If not, I would dial the board back a bit, to a decent B850, to free up funds for a better PSU.
I would recommend a higher output PSU. I usually get Thermal Take or Cooler Master PSUs. I would recommend at least 650W if not 750W, if you can afford it. The Geforce RTX 4060 is a generic identifier. If you could provide more specifics, it would be helpful.

You also do not have storage listed. Are you planning for NVME, SATA SSD, other?

This case should do the trick for you:

I do not think that PSU is going to cut it, quality wise. I would avoid 13th and 14th gen Intel as well. Motherboard has poor power delivery as well. 16gb isn't enough these days for what I assume is a gaming rig. Case does matter, as you want one with good airflow.

I would do something more like this. If there is enough money in the budget, I would choose a better GPU, with at least 12gb Vram, if budget allows.

Sorry, I forgot to include that I plan to use SSD.
The 4060 is the 8GB one.

And thanks.

I already have the 4060 and was working from there.
I will be upping the RAM later and will see to getting a case with good airflow, already had one with several fans in mind.

Though, could you elaborate the motherboard having poor power delivery? I honestly have no idea what that is.
And, why avoid 13th and 14th gen processors?

16GB is enough especially with a lower end GPU.

They both have issues with manufacturing especially on the 14th gen and both are very power hungry, personally would look at AMD.

Case cooling wise it’s a bit eh, components can get warm and be fine. Your GPU doesn’t have to run sub 70 to perform well

Since youre pairing it with a RTX 4060, you dont even need a 12700K, a 12600 would handle that GPU just fine. I would also look for a GPU with more than 8GB VRAM if possible.

The little modules around the CPU socket under heatsinks are the voltage regulation. That board is really lacking in that department.

13th and 14th gen had degradation issues. Intel claims to have fixed them, but with how poorly the situation was handled, I don't really have confidence they fixed anything. Also, 12th gen is considerably cheaper, and with that 4060, you really wouldn't see a difference, in gaming, for most titles. That also frees up money for a much higher quality power supply.

I had some other motherboards in mind. I have a better selection of motherboards with AM5 sockets, since the store I plan to buy from isn't as well stocked as say, Amazon. So, how do I measure the power delivery?

I wouldn't mind switching to AMD Ryzen 9 7900. I want a stronger processor since some games tend to frameskip and framedrop at times with my current CPU.

Furthermore, I think I'll be opting for the Seasonic G12 GM-650 Gold 650W PSU as I haven't seen anything overly negative said about it.

With a 4060, you will not see any differences between a 7900 or a 12700k, or 14700k, in nearly all titles, unless it is something very CPU dependent.

Any AMD you'd recommend, however?
As I said, I have a slightly better selection of AM5 socket motherboards at my local store.

I'm thinking TUF gaming X870 - plus Wifi is better than the one I had in mind before?

A 7700, 7700x, or 9700x is fine for just gaming. Not a fan of Asus, due to their horrible customer support, but yes that board is far better than the other one you were looking at.
Not a huge fan of them myself, but, is this a working long term build in the end?

RAM - Fury Beast DDR5 32GB (2×16)
Motherboard - TUF gaming X870 - plus Wifi
CPU - AMD Ryzen 9 7900
GPU - Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060
PSU - Seasonic G12 GM-650 Gold 650W
Casing - Fractal Define 7 Compact TG Dark

The casing comes with a front and back fan, but I may get a fan for the top as well.

That looks like a board that could fit my needs better than the other one. Thanks man.

In that case, I could also get a Corsair RM750x Shift 750W with no problem.
Seems like a decent enough PSU, just that summer temperatures may be an issue.
But, then again, they were always an issue in my experience.

This should be fine, but maybe consider a different cpu. 12 cores is nice for production work but overkill for nearly all games.

7700x or 9700x would probably be priced similarly and better for gaming.

The psu should ok if you’re not planning to put in a much more power hungry GPU anytime soon.
