Hi, thanks for coming to my thread. I am completely new to pc's(switching from ps4) and need a lot of guidance in building my new pc. I have copied and pasted the 'How to ask for build guidance" info and would greatly appreciate any sort of help.

Approximate Purchase Date: Have not purchased anything yet

Budget Range: 700-900...anything in between here is perfect..would prefer to stay in the lower end of that range but if it is on the higher end of that range it is perfectly fine.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Most important use is gaming without a doubt. Next would be watching youtube/twitch and general web surfing. Last would be movies.

Are you buying a monitor: Yes

Parts to Upgrade: -

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: anywhere that is safe and reliable.

Location: Columbus, Ohio. 43017 area code

Parts Preferences: no preference, whatever is reliable and performs well.
Overclocking: Maybe..not sure what this is exactly but if it helps with gaming performance than probably
SLI or Crossfire: Not sure so maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: Do not have one currently but I'd like a 144 hz monitor with 1 m/s response
Additional Comments: Some games I know I will be playing are Fortnite, Battlefield, and Red Dead Redemption. Hopefully that gives you a sense of the power I need for those types of games. Something that is very important to me is a solid frame rate. Something in the low to mid 100's for Fortnite, for example. The more the better, obviously:) I also do not have a keyboard or mouse so any recommendations for those would help.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I am switching from console for a better experience overall. Everything from graphics to frames to using a keyboard and mouse are all excellent reasons. I want to immerse myself more into the game and PC is a better way to do that.

Thank you for taking time to read all of this and for any sort of guidance! All is appreciated.

For a balanced Gaming PC, you can get something like this, but because u require to buy a monitor, there's not much room to buy a very decent VGA.

Consider increasing a bit more and get urself a RX580 or even a 1060 6Gb.

Unfortunately, for your budget, a 144 Hz gaming PC is a bit too ambitious. This PC here will get you 60 FPS in every game, and in a few less demanding games like Fortnite, you might get a 100-ish FPS:

60 FPS is still better than what you get on a console, and most games will run at high details, which is again better than what you get on a console.

A 1060 6GB card build would be best for frame rates. If You could squeeze the 8400 CPU in as well you would be set.
