[SOLVED] first time building a pc

Solution
i have the asus tuf 2560x1440
If you play first person shooters such as CoD and/or BF then you want nothing less than an RTX 3080. There's a few ways to run that build.

High end version of that build would look something like this.

ASUS TUF GAMING H670-PRO WIFI D4 $289.50

I'd add the 12700 instead of the 12700F so that you had integrated graphics but the 12700 isn't available in Canada yet tmk.

A few more options.

Z690 board + 12600K or a 12700K gives you integrated graphics.

Here's an inexpensive board ... just using this board as an example.

https://www.amazon.ca/PRO-Z690-DDR4-Motherboard-ATX/dp/B09GLD6LYW/
MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4 $239.98

Intel Core i5-12600K $369.99

Or something like this ....

ASUS TUF GAMING B660M-PLUS WIFI D4 $229.99

This cpu has integrated graphics.

Intel Core i5-12400 $269.99

And this one does not.

Intel Core i5-12400F $229.99

Some reviews on the 12400/12400F w/benchmarks.

btw you don't need to add any extra case fans with this case. The stock cooling it comes with is fine.

Agreed. You can save yourself a few bucks by going with a 2x16GB Corsair RGB kit. As for the graphics card, whatever you can get that's in your budget.

ok thank you very much. just one more question is im buying the asus rog strix z590-e with the i7-10700k cpu. the compatibility notes for the mother board says if it is not a rocket lake cpu then the m.2 slot will be disabled and the cpu is comet lake. will that be an issue?

Why exactly do you want a three generations old 10700K for a new build?

The 10th Generation Intel Core I-Series processors are named, Comet Lake.
The 11th Generation Intel Core I-Series processors are named, Rocket Lake.

ASUS ROG Strix Z590-E Gaming Wifi motherboard specifications
These specifications state that if you are using a 10th Generation Intel Core I-Series processor, then the M.2_1 slot is disabled. The other three M_2 slots are still available. For $12CDN more, I don't see any reason not to go with the 11th Generation Intel Core I7-11700K processor. You saved more than that by going with the 2x16GB Corsair Pro RGB kit.

If that's the case then I'd run that build this way and put the savings towards a gpu.
