Are those the prices you are paying?
Also, what SSD/HDD will you use?

All is compatable, but there are some changes I would make.

i would like to keep it around the $1000 mark but i was planning on getting them off newegg. i have some scrapped laptop hard drives that i plan o using but was thinking of getting a smaller ssd for the primary for quicker startup. the hard drives are a 500g seagate and a 320g wd hard drives that i salvaged from old laptops. any advice would be appreciated!!

Opted for a newer ryzen 5 3600 + cheap cooler with the newer motherboard. I had a B350 PC mate before, and trust me, you don't want one.
32gb ram isnt really necessary for anything right now, so I opted for 16gb.
Here is a pretty fast and smaller SSD to be used in combo with your existing HDDs.
RX5700 GPU is much more powerful than a 1660ti.
I changed the case, but you can change it back if you like.
Corsair RM650 PSU is still more than enough and is much cheaper than the NZXT.

thanks so much i thought i was good with computers but i might be out of my depth right now. i have no idea what to look for when getting this stuff and the couple friends that have done this before either want me to get what they have or want me to get a better system than they have. thanks again for the suggestions. extra parts and still cheaper.

Notice you have 2 ryzen 5s in your original build.

A lot of the hardware in your list is way overpriced from what it should be due to it being dated.

I paid like $70 for my b350 pc mate awhile back, now its $150. Also that NZXT psu is good, but overkill.

thanks again for the suggestions, honestly i just put it all into a list and checked out. showed it to a buddy and he said i wasnt gonna find much better in my price range, and that you obviously knew what you were doing so i pulled the trigger. thanks again for the help.

That motherboard has built in Wi-Fi, which typically includes Bluetooth as well. According the the specifications page for the board on Newegg...

"Bluetooth: Supports Bluetooth 5.0 + High speed class II"

RemixIsland's build does seem a fair amount better than your original list. Both the CPU and graphics card should be somewhere in the vicinity of 25% faster out of the box than the options you had picked out.

I would be a bit iffy on that, just because laptop hard drives, especially if they are 5400 RPM models, don't have particularly good performance, which could mean long load times. Considering that relatively decent 1TB SSDs can be had for around $100 now, it might be worth moving the SSD up to one of those if possible, and leaving the laptop drives for things like backups and media storage.

Also some people habe told me that depending on the build I might need to or want to download a temperature mamagement program to prevent overheating and such. I assume that I wouldnt need one with this build?? Or should i still consider findinf one?

HWinfo may be a bit much for him considering his knowledge of hardware although it would be a good learning experience.

so essentially i wouldnt need a monitoring program at all, the system should take care of itself. that good to know. is there enything else that i would need or will all the components come with all the hardware and such theat is neccesary. apart from the operating system of course?

I did a build. I couldn't get the same computer case so i picked one that seemed close. The RX 5700XT and Nvidia RTX 2070 super are close in gaming benchmarks, the 5700XT is a bit cheaper.

Many of these cards are close.. Sometimes the RTX 2070 super is faster. New AMD drivers have now made the RX570 , 580, 590 a bit faster too. That also helps the Vega 56 and 64. Some of these tests are before the new drivers.
Copy and paste it to a new browser window and
Add a "h" to the front of each one because it will eat up the whole page.

ok so fallow up question, in preperation for putting the comp togather im looking up all the drivers ill need and getting a copy of Windows 10 to install and on the manufacturer website for the ASRock X570 PHANTOM GAMING 4 WIFI ax ATX AM4 Motherboard i am seeing a lot of drivers to downoad and such. do i need all of them or is there a specific ones that i need to download?
You will need all the drivers most likely. Some of it may be utility programs and not actual drivers as well.

I would make a new forum post to diagnose this issue.
