^ Ohhh so you already have the parts,... My bad, dint notice that,...

As for the setup, its pretty good, except the graphics card and the PSU... the PSU is decent but not very good, but you should be able to run HD 6870 with that though, but any thing higher and with overclock, I wont suggest...

Thank you guys for answering.

Yea I already got all the parts for $600. DId I get ripped off? Because I can return it.

As for graphics card I can spend around 150, as long as it can run modern games on max settings.

Do you think these are too old for parts?

WHich power suply should I get?

Thanks

^ I wouldnt say that you got ripped off because except for the graphics and the PSU, rest are very good,... But like I said, also depends on how old the setup is and how much warranty is left for the parts,... So you might want to inquire about that,...

As you can see from my above build, for ~$760, you can get that setup sans Blueray, and 2TB, but you will get a powerful graphics, a high quality 750W PSU...

Graphics -
HD 6850 - You should have seen that article about Crysis 2 performance,... And IMO this would be a good option, but still I doubt you can max out at high resolutions,...

PSU - If Crossfire plan

WHat do you mean by old setup? I dont get it sorry I am a total newb at this.

So you 760 build above is a lot better, I should just do that lol.

How can I be able to max out crysis 2?

Thanks

I mean when was it bought and how much warranty is left,...

What is your monitor's resolution ?? For 1080p, if you want to max out, then you would need atleast ~$500+ graphic card setup - HD 6950 Crossfire/ GTX 560 Ti SLI,... ;)

As for the bottleneck, NO that CPU that you have will not bottleneck even Dual-Card config,... but a slight overclock would make it even better,...

Nice build for good price.
Just one warning about keyboard, G110 is called gaming keyboard but as many others its not.
Its plain crap keyboard just with added macro keys as it doesn't support more then 2 keys pressed together.
If you want to play games that require 3-6 keys you should look at some better keyboard later on.

I got it from my friend, he builds pc for a living. He told me that a company wanted him to make 20 computers. So he built 20 pcs. Then when he delivered it the company said that they only needed 19. Then the company just went ahead and gave it to him. So he just gave it to me for that much and added a bunch of stuff for free.
I am so happy that I got this. He is a very good friend.

Hey guys I have a question that does not relate to this original post.

Now that I have everything installed what do I do?

what is a good anti-virus, anti-malware?

I have windows 7 64 bit, this comes with a pretty good firewall right?

Can you guys give me a list of what I should install for security purposes.

Thanks

I like Microsoft Essentials (its not CPU hungry and good in detections) and wont recommend Avast, just this week was repairing PC that had a lot of files infected (detected by Microsoft Essentials) that was not picked by Avast.

Thanks for the reply guess I will be using the HDMI.

So I turned on the pc and the bios thing came up? I tried to exit it (i didnt know what i was doing) then it went to a black screen with a bar blinking at the top left corner. What does that mean. Did that hurt the pc by mAnually pressing the off button to shut it off?

Does manually turning off your pc really bad for it? What do you do when it hangs?

How do I load the os?

Thanks guys I promise this is my last question. Thanks for all the great help.

Maybe error in bios setting ? Try to reset BIOS and configure it again.
And yes, hard shutdown when pressing and holding power off button is bad for your components. Sometime you have to do it when PC freeze but try to avoid it as much as you can, in bad luck it can corrupt some files on disks or even kill hardware in worst case.
With soft shutdown, everything is getting short time to finish actual work and correctly turning off subsystems before powering down PSU.
