Hi everyone, I plan on building a PC specifically for gaming and I need some help on certain parts I should get and recommendations, all help is greatly appreciated.

First I've already brought a case : Antec - Nine Hundred Gaming Case - Black

These were some of the other parts I was considering so far.

CPU: E8600
Motherboard: 780i
GPU: GTX 280
HDD: Western Digital - Caviar GP 500GB Internal Hard Drive
PSU: (Thinking at least 850 watts)

So what would you recommend for the RAM and optical drive as well as OS?

Unless you need SLI capability, ditch the NVidia chipset motherboard in favor of an Intel P45 board.
The WD6400AAKS or WD6401AALS drives will be much faster than the 500 GP drive, which is more appropriate for an energy saving business system with integrated graphics than a gaming speed demon.
For the psu:
PC Power & Cooling S75CF Red 750W $110-40+0 (thru 1/16) 1/1/09
Blue add $20, Black add $30 (just for color!)

I chose that mother board because I was thinking about using SLI in the future, I was going to buy one GPU for now and then later another one.
