Hello,
First time buying a gaming PC and just nervous overall (I feel I have been watching PC related youtube for about a month now). The ultimate goal is to play games like Cyberpunk 2077, Baldurs Gate and FFXIV Online without too many issues. This would be my first desktop ever and so I would also be interested in knowing if this is a good starting system and a system that can be upgraded later on.

I really appreciate any help/insight you more experienced PC users and builders have to offer particularly when it comes to the cooling system and power supply.

Thanks in advance

Relatively cheap parts, but the overall system is about right for the money. I can sit down and do a price optimized build if you like.

RTX 4070 can easily handle a 1080p monitor, I would say that represents a system bottleneck right there. Only your hardest to run titles, cyberpunk included, would be under the monitor refresh rate when you run maximum detail settings.

Thank you for the replay and looking up parts! So based on what you are saying I should look for a better monitor one that has better resolution quality - probably need 4k then I am guessing

1440p is the sweet spot. 4K is too hard to run even for an RTX4090 in a lot of games.

Here is a pretty good window into what a 4070 can do. 7800XT is also a great alternative if you have less interest in ray-tracing. Builds below use the 4070 Super, you can swap it out for a 4070 if the costs are too high.

Could also do this with an AMD CPU which would have a lot longer upgrade life.
