Hi everyone. First off I'd like to say how awesome this community is. Everyone is so knowledgeable and willing to share it unlike most tech sites. Anyway. I just recently got situated at my first unit in the Army here in Hawaii and I finally have an address and the money to buy all my parts for a new gaming system. My old one was built off of a Dell DIMM 4700 where I just replaced most of the parts for better ones ( except motherboard) so I was very limited to what I could really do. Now I wanna build my dream machine. I wanna be able to finally play all the games I love on max settings with no problems. My budget is around $1700 for everything including monitor, mouse/keyboard, speakers, ect but if need be I COULD spend up to 2000 but from what I hear that could be overkill, correct me if I'm wrong. I hope I don't sound like a total ass asking you guys to help me build it, but honestly with work I don't really have time to research all the best products nor the know how to know what everything means when it gets down to the complicated things that make a system run better. Plus its hard enough to post on a forum with a cell phone much less shop for a bunch of parts lol I feel I'm babbling on. Anyway if anyone has any extra time and enjoys finding these great deals i'd be very gratefully. Thank you.

I'm thing 24 in monitor or around tgere. I mean I had a 19 in before and that seemed like a decent size so a few more in would be a plus. Is there an average screen size? What do you mean where am I located? And I would like a full tower so I don't ever have to worry about st uff being able to fit. Thank you for your response sorry I didn't give very much information before.

Thank very muchi had a question about the mouse and keyboard. Is it worth that extra money? I mean I'm willing to pay of its much better quality but if its just for looks I vs settle for more decent ones.

tbh I use a $15 Logitech keyboard and tracball mouse to game with. But some people on here swear by those keyboards. As far as a mouse goes...I would say you could do cheaper with a Logitech mx 518.

Also a 21.5" - 22" LED monitor would suffice just fine. I was never into behemoth monitors myself. It leaves more screen to cover which makes it more difficult imo especially for FPS games.

Here's an example.

Any SSD will improve your experience with boot up and most system access. You should consider an SSD boot drive of at least 64 GB and preferrably 128 GB. Good OEMs are Crucial, Corsair and OCZ. Go with a SATA 6.0 GBps model, as the SSD is one component that can use the bandwidth.
