First Time Gaming Build, Suggestions?

First time build. I'm looking for any suggestions or improvements. I'm mostly going to be playing a variety of games (FPS, MMO) as well as producing music with a hint of video editing, so I'm looking for a build that excels across the board. I already have a copy of Windows 7, a 1080p monitor, keyboard and mouse. Thanks in advance for your helpful advice.

Money is generally not an issue, although I would like to keep it around $1000 if possible.

Make sure your RAM is 1.5V - don't bother with the low voltage Sniper on an Ivy Bridge build. And I'd personally vouch for the Phantom 410 - otherwise that's a pretty good build.

Thanks for the suggestion, is there any specific ram you'd recommend? Also, does the ram make much of a difference in the system, or is any ram generally sufficient?

pretty much any 1600 @ 1.5v is fine.

Just build a similar computer to yours (should be on my profile). The Phantom 410 is very good. As for RAM I have 1600mhz Kingston HyperX that works well. Anything above 1600mhz isnt really worth it for gaming IMO.

Well anything over $40 shouldnt be worth it and those hyperx ram will void your warrenty

RAM really isn't system specific. As long as it meets the motherboard guidelines you're fine.

Not necessarily. I doubt Intel would target one specific brand to be warranty voiding. It depends on the speed and the voltage as to whether or not your RAM will void your warranty.

Yeah I don't know why Kingston jacks up the price of the 1.5V RAM but the 1.65V is priced the same as every other brand. I think that would be confusing to new builders.
