First time installing a GPU, will this be an easy install / plug and play? (Pictures inside)

Hello everyone and thank you for your time.

I am upgrading from a 980 Ti Hybrid (1x6 pin / 1x8 pin) to a 2080 Ti Hybrid (two 8 slot pins). Will I be able to simply remove the 980 Ti and put the 2080 Ti in without any problems? I figure I am just using the 6+2 pin into the left slot of the 2080 Ti while the 8 pin that is currently in the right slot of the 980 Ti goes to the right slot of the 2080 Ti.

I took pictures of the wiring from the GPU/PSU (1000W Seasonic Platinum).

Here is an IMGUR thread with pictures of the current GPU/PSU/Wiring. Let me know if you need any additional photos.

Thank you.

Yes that's correct. If I'm not mistaken, the Platinum PSU has four 6+2pin connectors, so assuming you've got those free, then yes it will be a simple plug and play whilst plugging in the additional PCIe power connector from the PSU.

Just as Supahos stated, use DDU to ensure that all previous GPU drivers are cleared.
