Hi all! I purchased a i7 920 and when I first started running it going by Easy Tune 6 my cpu temp was at 38c idle and up to 59c while playing pc games. It made me worry as it was not even overclocked. This was all with the stock intel cooler. I just installed the Cooler Master V8 and un-overclocked my idle temp was 24c. I couldn't believe how much of a difference this cooler made.

In Easty Tune 6 there is a Tuner option that will allow you to over clock the CPU to 3.20 ghz and the BCLK to 160 mhz going from stock settings of 2.66ghz CPU and a BCLK of 133mhz. I decided to give it a shot figuring I could always undo my settings. Through Easy Tuner 6 my idle temp is now 30c and playing the same games I get up to around 42c. I installed Speed fan and under load it says my GPU1 gets up to 62c and GPU2 up to 55c. They are both Nvdia 260's.

My main concern is I wanna know if these temps are reasonable or if I should go back to running it at stock being that I am not educated in overclocking and don't wanna harm my pc. Thanks for any advice!

If those are your GPU temps, then you are fine as gpu's can run much hotter than a CPU.Even 90 celcius is not unheard of for a GPU.So no worries.Glad you are keeping the CPU temps down.More room for overclocking.Have fun.
