Hi to all.
First time in the world of overclocking.
Im waiting the GA-EP43-DS3R that i buy.
This is my spec.
CPU: Q9550 2.8Ghz
Motherboard : Intel DG35EC ( waiting 4 the GA-EP43-DS3R to overclock )
Ram : Kingston 800 Mhz 2x 2GB + 2x 1GB ( waiting 4 2gb x4 ddr2 800 mhz kingston to make 8gb )
GPU : EVGA GTX 650 1GB
PSU: Antec 500P
Cooler: Titan Ttc-nh10tz 3000rpm 4 95W Quad cores.

I would like to know wath i have to put to make the sistem go 1:1 ram bus..
4 wath i read i have to make the cpu go to 3.4 Ghz wath is 400mhz of bus and put the kingston ddr memories at 800mhz.
But well,i would like to know all the details..
I need to put more volt on the cpu?
how i have to config the new motherboard bios?
ty

try auto first to get a feel of the voltage at first. Then lower it. My q9550 @ 3.4 is achieved Simply by changing the fsb to 400 and make dram ratio 1:1. I don’t recall anything else I did, perhaps I need to separate the pcie clock from the rest. However for CPU voltage. I don’t think you would need much more than stock.

Oh ty... and wath " I did, perhaps I need to separate the pcie clock from the rest" that means ?
Im new on OC.
Auto is an option to put all the setings on automatic ? and then i put manually the fsb at 400 mhz ?

basically you set everything on default, and manually set fsb on 400mhz.

I remember back in the days, pci-e frequency are all tied up to fsb in some way, but there is an option to decouple them, so you don't worry about your pci-e clock going up messes up your graphic card.

So i already have the MB.
I actually OC to 3.4 Ghz ( 400 FSB ).
Now my question is 4 vDrop...
I have vcore at 1.2125 v that according to the bios and core temp is the VID.
But cpuz is showing 1.168 V at IDLE and 1.152 V at Load.
It isnt too much vdrop?
My Temp is a little higher...
At 20 min of prime 95 i get arround 80C...prinicpaly on one of the 4 cores.
Can i drop the vcore to less of the VID? That's affect the vdrop?
