First time overclocking, one concern

I'm running an 8700k on an Asus Maximus X Hero, Corsair H100i Pro cooler.

I started with the presets in the bios but started tweaking because the VCore would get a little too high. I think I'm at a stable point right now but one thing that worries me when looking at HWMonitor are the VIDs when looking under the voltages for the CPU.

These seem high and from what I understand, these are the voltages the CPU is requesting at certain loads. Is this normal or do I need to make some changes somewhere? Thanks in advance!

VID is the voltage requested by the cpu. You should be concerned only for the voltage supplied by the motherboard though, which is the Vcore under your motherboard's tab. 1.28 is good and offers enough headroom actually

Thanks, that's what I assumed from the google searches and everything. So I can safely disregard all the VID # info as long as my VCore and temps are good?

Yes. The processor is designed to request more voltage for stability issues. Do not worry
