I got a brand new i5 8600K (didn't come with the stock cooler)and m.2 intel nvme ssd as gifts and am looking to build the rest of the stuff during thanksgiving.

I'm looking for advice for the rest of the stuff.

I'm a novice gamer who plays CS Go, The Division etc.

Looking to buy a MotherBoard, PSU, RAM (32GB would RGB help?) and a GPU.

If budget allows, then an 144HZ monitor as well.

I've my old case.

I don't plan to overclock currently as the games i play don't require the same.

Any other advice would also help.

You aren't going to get buy with a stock cooler. It doesnt come with one for a reason.

I would go for a cheaper tower cooler that will also give you a little overclocking headroom. Liquid cooling is unnecessary.

Sorry forgot that detail.

120-150 for the Motherboard.
100 max for the PSU. (would i need more?)
130 for the RAM
300-400 for the GPU (NVIDIA if that works?)

Would i need a liquid cooler for the GPU? My friend siggested that. I would prefer stock cooler for the CPU.

Do i need to invest on anything else?

Please let me know if i'm missing anything.

Get a cheap but adaquate cooler for stock and mild overclocks.

Spend a little more and get a better motherboard.

Some solid ram right in budget.

A good GPU in budget, although the AMD Rx5700xt performs better for the same money.

The PSU is a good unit for the price, coming in underbudget.

Here is a WiFi board. The ASRock Sli/AC z390 is good as well as ASUS TUF WiFi.

I know you suggested Nvidia but this card will give you quite better FPS for the money.

I agree with the 5700xt in general, but the TUF model got exceptionally bad reviews for its thermals. Its the worst model tested according to hardwareunboxed. I would go with the powercolour Red Devil or the Sapphire Pulse for the same money.

You'd be better off bumping the psu upto 650w with the XT, the 2060 super is fine on a 550w.

For cpu cooler, 240mm or better AIO, or mid-range 180w-200w aircoolers as it's possible for a 8600k to hit sporadic spikes topping 160w, but generally stays lower, around the 100w area. While the spikes are momentary, they will drive cpu temps up instantly, and without a capable cooler can hit thermal limits, causing stutters.

In case i go for AMD, Newegg BF sales has ASRock Radeon RX 5700XT Challenger D 8G OC for 369.99. Is this a worthy replacement or the RedDevil/Sapphire Pulse still wins?
