For the hard drive, we were thinking of transferring a 1TB HDD from my old prebuilt HP desktop. Are these components compatible? Also, did we miss anything and is there anything we should be concerned about? Thank you in advance.

Edit: fixed formatting

Might be that the motherboard comes with a bios/uefi that doesn't support that pretty recent cpu so keep that in mind. If buying from a shop ask them to update the bios for you. They might ask a small fee for this.
You use an expensive wifi adapter, think of using a cheaper one and get some money free for a better psu.

Think you're on a tight budget, may i ask what the max is?

You need to realize that you most likely will have to reinstall windows clean to get the system running without hick ups.Make back ups of things you want to keep before transferring the hdd to the new system.

You're going to have to include details for your build, following the stylizing of the post in this thread. You're going to have to need to look at a better PSU, if you choose the right board, you get wifi built in.
Alright, thank you, I'll update the post shortly and look into an alternate motherboard and PSU. Do you have any recommendations?

Thanks for the reply. How would I go about reinstalling Windows? Also, my budget is around $700, I'll update my post shortly.

A 1TB hard drive will be a major bottleneck, and your Windows license won't transfer over to the new machine - keep those two things in mind if you are going to do this. You're better off buying an SSD if you can increase your budget. You can also use your 1TB drive as secondary storage, but I would not use it as primary. This is what I would suggest:
