This is my first computer i will totaly build myself. I did have another PC i bought used off ebay for $90 that had like a Phenom II x4 and a GTX 460 or something (I dont have it anymore)
I wanted to go with FX as they have more cores and are great value for video editing and gaming
I want to play GMod with my friends. (Something i couldnt do on my old pc because of lag), GTA 5, Left 4 Dead and BeamNG.drive
As iam a first time builder, i just want to know if this is any good for around 280.
I also wanted to go with AMD, as from what ive seen, Intel has used quite shady tactics in the past, and from what ive heard, AMD care more about the customer, so i want to support them.
Btw. Where i live the Cheapest Ryzen 3 1200 is $100, which is a lot more than i want to pay, and also very high DDR4 prices.
I probrably wont upgrade for a good few years (5+), so AM3+ shoddy upgrade path is no problem
I just want to know what you guys think, as i Really dont want to end up with a lemon
Thanks for any help

Solution
That PC is already dated and is barely enough to play the games you want, I suggest you save until you can afford at least the ryzen 3 1200 and a GTX 1050Ti as a minimum but if its all you can afford there is no problem with the components except they are dated and are at a stage they already need upgrading and if you want to plat any new games it will likely already be not capable of playing them.

iam aware it is dated, but i cant go any higher than 280, and i really need a PC, as all i have is my Phone atm, and i cant do any sort of work or games on an iPhone 5.
but as the computer is now, will it be able to run GMod and GTA 5 at atleast 1080p low settings? (im not an extensive gamer or anything, i just do it to play with friends or to kill time)

If you can squeeze another $30, then i'd suggest the 2 x 8 kit of DDR4:

The 2200g is an APU, meaning Vega graphics is integrated into the processor. This motherboard states Pinnacle Ridge CPU's will be supported on the Newegg site and the whole platform will be supported for upgrades until the year 2021. This means you can add a graphics card and slot in up to an 8 core 16 thread processor.

I just looked online at AMD FX 8300, and iam very confused. Some people claim its quad core, but others say its an 8 core. Are there different versions of it?
I also found the prices of some i3s too
i3 6100 - $80 (New)
i3 4130 - $99.99 (New)
I3 7100 - $94.99 (New)
i3 8100 - $119.99 (New)

It depends, because the definition of core isn't always clean-cut in this manner. The FX CPU is designed with eight cores, but two cores in each module and the cores share resources. As it shakes out, it falls short of eight truly independent cores, but better than hyperthreading (not that it beats the Intel CPUs, just that the FX cores are closer to real cores).

The problem with the FX is that the cores are slooooow. These were disappointing performers in gaming even when they were released six years ago, because instructions per cycle is very important here. The FX chips fared somewhat better as light workstations, but they're poor choices for gaming.

I would absolutely not assemble the PC you've listed at the top. Too many of the parts are obsolete, so upgrading later will be far, far more expensive. There would be no meaningful upgrade involving the motherboard, the RAM, the CPU, and in truth, the low-quality used PSU you're getting.

I would continue to save until I could afford to buy a budget Ryzen rig. Entry-level doesn't need to mean obsolete. Getting an FX rig just to get a PC a little bit quicker would be a classic case of penny-wise, pound-foolish.

Thanks for your explanation. I just texted my friend who has a fx 9590, and he said go for anything else but fx. If i save up more money, what would be a good CPU for $100??

The Ryzen 2200g is a smart entry-level CPU, especially if you pair it with the used GPU you were looking at. Without the GPU for awhile, I'd look at the 2400g, which is closer to a 1030 with the integrated GPU. On this platform, you could buy a much higher-end, newer Ryzen in 2020 and still be able to use the same motherboard and the same RAM. Not all PC builds have to be expensive, but it's a good rule when putting together an entry-level build to not hamstring yourself from upgrades.

My condolences for your friend. The 8350 may have been disappointing, but trying to use a 9590 is a literal nightmare for many. You have to invest $100 in the cooler, $100 in the power supply, and a $200 motherboard to have a good shot at getting the 9590 working properly and then you only have a rig that's good at productivity; the 9590 lost to then-recent i3 CPUs in many gaming benchmarks. And even then, the 9590 might still be unstable!

thanks for your help. Iam looking at ryzen 3 2200g, but the ryzen 5 2400g is only $10 more so i might save up for that one. Yeah my friend is always having problems with his pc, and if i remember rightly, i think he spent close to $1000 on his FX 9590 alone a few years ago

The 2400g is quite solid. You could plug in a $300 GPU a year from now and it will hold up just fine.

It's too bad your friend hadn't reached out to us then! Running away from that CPU is like the only thing everyone here can agree on. Be nice and don't rub it in *too* much when your 2400g runs rings around his!

Hello its me again.
I ended up Buying a Ryzen 7 1700 (was only $15 more than R5 2400g), 8GB DDR4, a used GTX 660 ($35) (Only a place-holder until Christmas hopefully), and a B350 Motherboard for 250 altogether on Black Friday, which has pretty much made me bankrupt lmao
