Hey guys, I have studied these forums for a while today since I am wanting to upgrade my graphics card. I found one that fits my budget however it seem like it will be to big and will most likely lay on SATA ports. I am looking for a card Between $150-$250 and really would like to play some next gen games that are coming out. My current build is;

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 955 Processor
Memory: 8192MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti
650 PSU

I need help choosing the right card under 10 inches and something that will work well with my cpu. Should I even be upgrading the gpu since I have a older cpu? I really don't want to start from scratch but if that's whats needed let me know. If ultra settings or highest setting cant be achieved with a better GPU than i most likely will build a new PC which i would love to avoid. Thanks for all your help.

Solution
The EVGA GTX 750Ti SC http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IDG3IDO would be perfect for your needs. It's small, powerful, quiet, and uses very little power.

Edit: the 750Ti should be able to play next gen games at medium settings with decent frames. If you really want to play newer games on Ultra settings then really your best option is the Gigabyte GTX 970 Mini ITX OC http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OQUMGM0. You would need to have your CPU overclocked quite a bit if you want to avoid bottleneck. You may be due for a whole new PC if you want to play next gen on ultra settings but the 970 is what you want to do that.

I figured as much, what I had found was a MSI N760 TF 2GD5 http://but wasn't really sure if bottlenecking was going to be a issue with the current CPU and also it was to fat for my case.... Other than the 750Ti (love the price point) is there anything else that you would recommend?

Nope, the two cards I mentioned and the one you mentioned are the only cards you really have to consider. The other option is to just buy a new case and open yourself to many other graphics card options.
