Hey yall, I'm upgrading my pc for the first time, and I am relatively clueless on this stuff still so could definitely use the advice!

Build:
Z270A-Pro Motherboard
I7-7700k
GTX 1070
16gb ram ddr4 3000mhz
550w power supply (I believe)
500 gb nvme
500 gb ssd
1 tb hardrive

I mainly play fps games like, Warzone, Valorant, Apex and Halo. I sometimes play games like Dead by Daylight, Red Dead, Assassins Creed, etc. However, I would have to say my main focus is getting higher frames and not playing at the absolute lowest settings. I currently get max 80ish fps on the lowest settings in warzone, and the drops significantly at certain places in the map to as low as 40 sometimes. I also stream occasionally as well. Oh and I have also been playing at 1080p, not sure if that's important or not.

The only meaningful upgrade path left to you on that system configuration is a newer GPU.
You could add more RAM, but is unlikely to help gaming.

Right now you could blow your money on an overpriced GPU. You 'could' build a new system and re-use the GPU you have. It would be the limiting factor and the new components would not be used to their potential.

At this current time it is a good idea to continue saving money and take a wait and see attitude. Besides that, "word on the street" is that next gen for both Intel and AMD will (probably) be on different sockets, and require DDR 5.
