First Timer - Building a Desktop

Hi.

I'm planning to get a desktop for entertainment, mainly for pc gaming/movies.

I was leaning toward to getting pre-built desktops from well-known websites such as ibuypower and cyberpc.

However, many people out in the community suggested me to build one myself.

I've never built a computer myself so this will be quite challenging...sorry I'll get right into questions now lol

***Could someone tell me if all these components will be compatible for each other and work without problems?

**Do I have a sufficient cooler for my CPU/GPU? (I'm more concerned with my gpu since it's OCed)

*What fps would I get from playing crysis2 or bf3 on ultra settings?

I would really really appreciate all your comments!

Everything should fit together fine, there's nothing really wrong with the build at all. If you bought this tomorrow, you'd be fine. My only slight concern would be that I can't see any terribly reliable info about how long a graphics card that case can fit. A quick google shows several people saying 11inches, your graphics card is around 10.5. If it were me, I'd try and find better info on that just to be 100% sure. It's likely to be fine.

Your graphics card is factory overclocked, and they usually aren't a huge amount above stock. It's also massive and has three fans, I think you are good The Windforce coolers tend to be well reviewed.

As for FPS, that's totally dependant on your resolution. At 1080P, you'd be looking at 40+FPS on Crysis2, BF3 would be similar.


Couple of thoughts-

1) The H50 is a really basic CPU cooler. It'll do the job to a degree, but if you want to overclock then it's probably not much good. Unless you picked a cooler like this for aesthetic/acoustic/layout reasons, it'd be better to go with either something more expensive or a straightforward air alternative like the 212 Hyper Evo.

2) If you aren't planning on overclocking your CPU, there's no point buying a K-series processor and little point buying a Z77 motherboard.

3) Should you choose to change anything and find you have money to spare, then there a couple of alternatives of where to spend it.
If you want to play games at higher resolutions, ploughing more cash into the graphics card is the way to go.
If you want to speed up your day-to-day activities, get an SSD for Windows and a few other things

Case/graphics card size problem is a very good point. I'm happy that you brought that up. I hope I could keep that case though. It's really hard to find an affordable case with 3 fans included.
