I recently ordered a 2GB EVGA GeForce GTX 960 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SC6HAS4/ref=br_prlt_slcty_pdt-1?ie=UTF8&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-3&pf_rd_r=1JG1TJEKVAT1Y5WH1Z9Z&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=2102772462&pf_rd_i=10779868011) and I forgot to look into a new Power Supply. I currently have a HP Pavilion 500-164 (http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03933829) and am wondering will I have enough power to run the new GPU?

Solution
Probably a good idea to get a different psu. OEM ones are usually not strong enough to hold the system and a mid-high end card. the one in your system specified in that page is 300w. you might be able to pull it off.. but i'm not sure if you really want to risk it. It's dangerous playing that game.

I suggest getting a decent psu.

Thank you. It was a simple oversight but I'll look into getting a new power supply.
