Fits of stuttering during gaming

When I replaced my old AMD Phenom II 965 with a brand new AMD FX 8320 I started to notice that they game would experience fits of stutter. Every so often the game would become unplayable for a couple of seconds before bouncing back. I've noticed this in numerous titles. As you can imagine I'm extremely frustrated, everything I have is compatible and I cannot figure out why this is happening, what do you guys think I should try?

Power Supply: CX750M Corsair 750W
Mother board: MSI 970A-G43
AMD Sapphire radeon HD7870 OC GHZ ed
8gb of ram
Corsair H55 Liquid cooler.
Windows 7 Ultimate.

Did you install the drivers and are they up to date?

Is it all games also try unparking the cores its a common problem with AMD CPUs and windows atm

Yes, everything driver wise is solid.

Not all, the older games seem to have no problem, but games that played fine before are now having problems. I don't know how to unpark CPUS, could you link a guide for me?

So I believe I successfully unparked it (disabled everything) and I'm still getting the issues. What else can I try?

Were you getting these stutters at all with your old CPU? It may be the GPU.

No I never got stutter's with my old cpu, this only started happening the moment I swapped them out. Could there be software conflicting causing this?
