If you're talking about the rear I/O ports on your sound card then it's ill advice to tinker with then. if you're talking about the front panel connectors then it's also best you leave them alone. I'd much rather suggest you contact your case manufacturer to initiate a correspondence and a possible RMA of the case(if it's the latter) or see if they can ship a replacement front panel module for you to work with.
With all that being said, can you please pass on your full system's specs inclusive of your OS? There are documented cases where the onboard Realtek audio was crippled once users migrated to Windows 10.
