Question Fix for MSI Suprim Liquid X VRAM temperatures ?

Hey all. I've been given the opportunity to essentially trade my Gigabyte OC 4090 for an MSI Suprim Liquid 4090. However, I've heard that these cards have very bad memory temperatures, significantly worse than the air cooled models.

Is there a way to mod the card to fix this? Would the high VRAM temps have any notable impact on performance? And should I even swap in the first place?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

The plate that is used to cover VRAM on AIO cards tends to not quite get perfect coverage. It should never rise to the occasion of being an actual problem though.

The other thing that can lead to higher temps is if the fans aren't running like it should be. When I got my EVGA card the fan curve was set like it would be for an air cooled card which was causing a lot more heat to build up.
