Hello, I upgraded my motherboard and cpu today. I was forced to install a new copy of windows, so I decided to do it on a spare HD, to see if there was any way I can make my older installations work without a reinstall. I have a lot of large games installed, and I had everything set up just the way I like it.

Is there any way to do that? Or am I going to have to reinstall? (attempting to boot it up regularly causes a BSOD.)

Solution
Games you just point steam at an it will reinstall when you launch it. Similar with origin. There's no reason to redownload them.

You'll spend more time messing with the old OS trying to get it to work than just taking an hour or two to set things back up. and even if you got it to boot it could still have stability issues
