fix my dell computer

my dell computer won't start it scans but it keep sayin u have recently attached a device such as a portable music player or camera and i haven't how do i fix this problem

So it does start and displays an error message? Or is it just an information? And what do you mean by "it scans". Is it a desktop or a laptop? Pleas provide the exact model.
