Question Fix the faked USB thumb drive capacity to actual capacity

Referring to the following post, the freeware tool was able to detect the actual capacity of the USB thumb drive. But what tool can be used to fix the faked USB drive capacity to the actual capacity (e.g. to update a faked 2TB to an actual 16GB) ?

You would need the appropriate MPTool for the flash controller.

It depends on the flash controller. Each controller requires a different MPTool.

But why?

Even if you could get it to report the "actual" size, I wouldn't trust those 4th grade chips to hold a single text file with any reliability.

Considering the cost of a 16GB stick consider trashing the fake stick and buying a real stick.
