Hello, I've bought this router and am really regretting it. I've spent the last two weeks troubleshooting my ReadyNAS 104 (bought along with the router) because I couldn't get ReadyCLOUD to work. I'd set up port forwarding to it and even DMZ. Nothing helped, netgear support least of all, of course.

My cell phone sometimes also would be connected to wi-fi as if there were no problems but no traffic would come and go (an intermittent problem). Then I discovered that netflix was not working on the smart TV (or PS4) but worked while logging in on the website. After that I tried chromecast and it didn't work also, so I started wondering if the Nighthawk could be the culprit. I switched it with my old Wireless-G TP-Link router and everything worked fine.

After spending some time troubleshooting the Nighthawk (which was mostly using default configs, I only set up the internet and wifi connections), I figured to heck with it, let's go DD-WRT (latest Kong release as of today). To my surprise... the issues stayed the same.

I've since gone back to the latest netgear firmware and tried disabling most security features in the wan setup. Nothing solves the problems. I cannot find anything related to my problem on the internet, although I did find a myriad of Nighthawk problems.

Help plox.

Solution
I`ve found the problem. It was the MTU size in the router. It uses 1492 for PPPoE connections automatically and lowering it to 1400 solved the problem. I hope this helps someone else in the future.
