Need help with my heatsink. I repasted my laptop and while doing it i accitantly bended the heatsink pipe and i heard a like a very small hiss and now the heatsink isn't working propertly. The CPU are is boiling hot but the part where the heatsink fins are is cool. is there any way i can fix this? I think i found a small crack would sealing it do any difference? Should i just buy a replacment? this sucks. lol

Solution
A replacement would be necessary. Inside the heatpipe is a "working fluid" that condenses and evaporates at specific locations (and transferred through a copper mesh typically) in order to move and release heat. Any leak in the pipe and this fluid is lost.
Here is a quick read: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heat_pipe (scroll down to vapor chamber flat heatpipes)
