I accidentally deleted some MP4 files that I need and because my recycling bin was full they were completely deleted. However, I managed to recover them using a program but when I open them up, it says they are likely corrupted. Is there any way to fix this?

On VLC it does not play, on windows film and tv it says this: The files isnnnnn't playable. THat might be becuase the file type is unsupported, the file extension is incorrect, or the file is corrupt.
Too much of it is actually gone. Can't rebuild what no longer exists.

This is why we have backups.

Some of it is almost certainly been overwritten. That data no longer exists.

Some of it is there (the recovery), but some of it is probably gone gone gone.

If it says "likely corrupted", what happened when you tried to play them?
