I have a Kingston Flash drive. I used it to make a bootable KALI Linux usb. But now itsformated in a way that it doesnt show up in my computer. I researched and went through Disk Management. But whenever i click on assign new letter or path option it says that "Windows cannot find specified path". I even used diskpart and tried to format it. But it doesnt get formatted. I m not even able to make a new partion using disk management. Hope i get the solution.

Ohkay after waiting for a long time... I have successfully solved the problem.
first of all, use diskpart to clean the disk.
in cmd type "diskpart".
In the new window opened type "list disk".
check and select your desired disk by typing "select disk no."
after this type"clean" and wait until the disk is cleaned.
then in run window type "diskmgmt.msc"
here check your disk listed and right click on it select the option new simple volume.
go through the wizard and voila. your disk is listed in my computer again

Hello, I have the same problem, but when I tried diskpart and diskmgmt, they all said the same thing: "The system cannot find the file specified" What could be the problem? Here's the link to my thread "http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-3824754/usb-flash-drive-detected-show-computer.html"
