Flash Drive Disconnected During Format

Hi,

So my awful work computer just decided that it wanted to disconnect/reconnect my flash drive while formatting it (to make a bootable disk). Now Windows just says that no media is inserted into the drive on any computer that I plug it into. Is there anyway to fix this? I've done some research on the issue, but I haven't found much that's useful for how my specific drive got messed up (the most common tips are to fix it in disk management, but that's not possible since it doesn't detect any "media" in the drive).

Thanks!

It's a few years old, but hasn't seen a ton of use. I just now realized that my work computer seems to have a problem with the USB ports disconnecting on occasion (it did it to another device later as well). I'm guessing that it just did that at an awful time during the format.

I've been trying this: http://usb-fix.blogspot.com/ and ChipGenius detects my drive and that it has 16 GB of ram, but the tool to fix it (CBM2093 UMPTool doesn't detect it).

Edit: Well, I finally found what appears to be the right program for reprogramming my flash drive (I had no idea this stuff existed, with control down to the frequency at which the LED flashes): http://flashboot.ru/files/file/260/ And it appears to rewrite the firmware, but then gives a too many bad sectors error, so it looks as if the drive can't be saved. Oh well.
