Flash Drive Issue

Hi,

I've had this annoying problem. Randomly, when I (as soon as) insert my Patriot flash drive, it reboots my system. this only happens with this one, not the other flash drives. This happened in XP, and now Win7. This leads me to believe that it is a problem with this Patriot. I've formatted it and the same thing happens. Is it time to toss it, or is there something I may not be aware of?

Toss it. Sounds like it is shorting the USB port itself. You may damage the system eventually otherwise.
