[SOLVED] Flash drive suddenly does not fit into USB port

I bought a 256 GB flash drive recently from Microcenter and backed up some files on it. Suddenly today I went to plug it into a USB drive on my PC and will not plug in. I have tried it in 2 different USB ports and it is like something inside is keeping it from being able to be pushed into the port.

Is there a way to fix this, please?

Can you show a close up of the socket where you are trying to insert the drive?

yeah 1st pic shows you've broken a USB tab into your plug. need a little surgery to remove the thin piece on top

Should I use tweezers and try to remove it?

if you have one thin enough , looks like you might need a safety pin for this one.

I used a knife from my multi-tool and got it out. It is working now. Thank you all so much!
