Can't use computer because I have a flash drive with embroidery pattern and need to hook up to my embroidery machine...kind of old.

So is this connecting a flash drive to an embroidery machine, not drive to drive? If it doesn't have usb, it can't read the flash drive anyways. Model numbers? Pictures? This needs more info.

Well the embroidery machine has a cable that has a weird end and ends with a usb. I have a flash drive with the pattern on it and want to use on the machine.

Sounds like it can connect to a computer. It's a male usb plug? If it has no usb ports, then nothing can be plugged into it.

Brother SE400 machine that only has 512 mg internal space and uses the pattern's info to embroider.

You connect it to a pc to add them.

With the model number I can see on the product page that it's a normal usb type b to a cable used on most peripherals. And it states connecting to a pc to import designs and update the machine.

Yup... still sounds like you need a computer in the middle to transfer the files onto the machine from the flash drive.
