I have a Kingston DataTraveler 100 G3 (32 gb) and there is no physical write protection switch on the flash drive. When I plug it in, it immediately tells me I need to format it before I can use it. So I go to format it and it tells me I can't because it's write protected.
I've read everyone's suggestions on how to fix it although there only seem to be 2. Either command prompt or editing the registry. Both of those don't remove the write protection. Is there a software that specializes in write protection removal? People keep suggesting software that formats my flash drive but that doesn't work because in order to format it, I need the write protection gone.
