Hi Everyone,
i'm spec'ing a system for myself and a friend for gaming, and i'd like to know if you guys would recommend using a SSD for the operating system. In this case, the OS will be XP Home. The machines are for gaming, but not overclocking or anything needing water cooling (i hope).
i figure it should be OK to use SSD for the OS, because there's little in the way of writing going on. i plan for these machine to have a HDD for programs and files. The SSD will allow the machines to boot very quickly.
What have you folks learned from painful or good experiences using SSD? Should i just get a fast HDD for the OS? Is it worth putting the OS and programs on separate disks?
Thanks in Advance!
